Hello there! Let’s start off by getting your name, and maybe a little bit about your background?
My name is Roy Abou Trabi, and I was born in Lebanon. Being born in 1986, I was in Lebanon for a little bit, until my family moved to UAE. I was here until I graduated high school in 2003, which is when I chose to attend Middlesex University in London.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Film in 2007, I finished school on the cusp of a financial crisis. I had no other choice but to make my own way!
Which businesses have you run in a successful manner, and what have you learned?
After working for a bank in 2007, I launched my first business venture in 2008. It was a security electronics import company, which offered GPA trackers, security systems, and other useful gadgets. The struggle of running your first business is no joke, but I learned to balance both work and family relatively quickly.
I ran this company until about 2012, which is when the “social media revolution” took place. I realized that I needed to get into things early, as I know the potential for growth was going to be massive! I took to Facebook and began creating sports and entertainment pages, some of which include “Thaqafa Bela Hodoud” and “Mabluma Fi Sura”.
Shortly afterward, I became an AdSense partner with Google and never looked back!
Why were your businesses so successful?
I have always been dedicated to the grind that comes with running a business. I don’t take anything for granted, and I’ll always do what’s necessary to overcome an obstacle. In this world, you’ve got to take anything you can get, but also be sure to improve every step of the way.
I’ve learned a lot while running all of these businesses, and the mistakes I’ve made in the past have allowed me to find success in the present.
What was the toughest challenge you ever had to face as an Entrepreneur?
I would say that finding capital (money) to invest in potential opportunities is always a problem when you’re first starting out. There’s a reason why people who are born into wealth stay rich, and that’s because it’s easier to make money when you’ve got tons of it.
Although it can feel desperate at times, never give up. It doesn’t matter how much money you start out with, all that matters is that you’re on the right path and striving to find success in your industry.
What made you become a premium Domain trader/investor, and how’d you get started?
By stay versatile with my businesses, I was able to have an approach that is opposite to having all of my eggs in one basket. Domains are a sought-after commodity these days, and I understood that from the moment I realized there was a market for them.
Finding a cheap domain, sitting on it, and waiting until it becomes something worthwhile is almost like investing in a stock. I guess you could say I’m addicted to growth, regardless of what the industry happens to be.
Since you co-founded PRShouts.com, what makes you feel like online press publications are so important?
Ensuring that customers hear about new releases and such is a must because refusing to do will mean your competition wins. There’s always going to be another company to compete with, and many of them are going to do whatever it takes to stay at the top.
Whether it’s SEO or just general publicity, online publications are a key component to keeping people updated with your business. If you’re introducing a new service or product, you can use the online press publication platforms to market everything with ease.
Many people are transferring over to the digital landscape in 2021 – can you enlighten us on why content marketing is so important now, more than ever before?
Content marketing has always been important, but now it’s reached new levels of importance. Without the right content marketing campaign, you aren’t going to notice the kind of growth you were expecting (or hoping for). Like I said before, I’m somewhat addicted to the aspect of potentially growing a business, or even crypto coins.
Is there anything else you would like to mention?
If you feel like there is more to experience out there in life, remember that nobody is going to do you any favors. When you want things done, you’ve got to roll up your sleeves and do it yourself – I took that approach early on, and hopefully, the others reading this will do the same.
