Is it worth comparing Oppo mobiles with Samsung Smartphones?

Both Oppo and Samsung have cemented their place in the market, but they are always fighting for the top spot. Can we really compare smartphones from both companies and get to a valid conclusion?  Samsung has always dominated the market of mobile phones. Right from the “non-smart” era to taking over the world of smartphones with its Galaxy phones, the South Korean giant has been second to none.

But with the increasing demand in the Indian market, established Chinese smartphone manufacturing brands decided to tap into the market potential. With companies like Oppo, OnePlus and Vivo bringing in their models, they soon became leading smartphone brands in India.

USPs of Samsung and Oppo

Samsung fans have always valued its flagship phones because of the trust and nostalgia attached with the brand. Some loyal fans will always opt for Samsung over other brands, even if they have to pay a bit more or compromise on some of their desired specs.

On the contrary, Oppo mobiles have caught the attention of that niche segment in the market that is looking for cheap phones with more specs. Hence, although both companies have their pros and cons, we can sensibly compare them both on the basis of their specs and price.

Oppo A52 vs Samsung Galaxy A21s

Both the Oppo A52 and the Samsung Galaxy A21s are top phones from their respective companies, fighting for the top spot in the market. Let us have a quick look at how they both differ from each other, and have their own positives and negatives.

  1. CPU and processor: The Oppo A52 has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor that is better than the octa-core Exynos 850 processor in the Galaxy A21s. Better processor means smoother and faster performance, and thus, a better overall experience for the users.

  2. RAM: The Oppo A52 boasts of 6GB RAM while the Samsung Galaxy A21s has a decent 4GB RAM to offer. More RAM implies your phone can handle multiple applications better without any lags.

  3. Internal storage: Space crunch isn’t a pleasant thing to deal with. The Oppo A52 provides a storage facility of 128GB as opposed to the Galaxy A21s that offers only 64GB.

  4. Rear cameras: The Galaxy A21s has a much better 48MP primary camera as compared to the 12MP in the Oppo A52. However, both phones have a quad-rear camera array.

  5. Front camera: The 16MP front camera of the Oppo A52 is superior to the 13MP front camera of the A21s.

  6. Battery: Both phones have a 5000 mAh battery. But the Galaxy A21s has a better battery life with 54 hours of talk time.

  7. Price: Both the smartphones are quite close in price. Visibly, the Oppo A52 has better features than the Samsung Galaxy A21s. Hence, it is rightly priced at Rs. 14,990, while the Oppo A52 costs Rs. 13,990.

If we compare them both, they have their positives and negatives. The Oppo A52 not only has a better front camera, better chipset and more RAM, but it also has a sharper and crisp display screen.

The Samsung Galaxy A21s, on the other hand, has a decent chipset and RAM, and also has a marvelous rear camera and battery. All in all, based on what suits a person’s preferences, both the smartphones can be efficient and useful.
