Increase website sale leads in under 1 minute!

Generating leads is something your website should be doing effectively. After all, your site is the only employee that works for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Every business needs new leads and contacts to increase its sales, otherwise stagnation will result. This is especially true for any business that is located in a highly competitive market such as London. This is reason enough for firms to partner with an agency that specialises in web development services in London, so they can stay ahead of the competition.

Operating an underperforming website is comparable to owning a blind racehorse. It can still run, but will most likely not perform well at all. For this reason a website must be optimised and focussed in order for it to perform effectively –  It simply isn’t a case of creating a website and leaving fate to decide how well it performs.

Much like your employees, your website needs to be taught what to say, how to say it, and when to say it. In my professional experience, a website that does not fulfil its objectives is a huge waste of resources.

A business needs the right tools and directions in order to be successful. In this article, I not only want to give  you a roadmap of how to optimise your website, but I also have a critical exercise to offer you that will increase the lead generation capabilities of your website. So then, let’s kick things off by reviewing some of the most effective methods of optimising your website for lead generation:

Live Chat

Live chat options are a relatively recent phenomenon, but can actually be highly effective in collecting leads. Often, users log onto a site and are unable to achieve their objective, or can’t find an easy method of connecting with the business. This is where a live chat option helps to engage users effectively.

Chatting is one of the best methods of retaining customers, increasing conversions, and generating leads.

Landing Pages

Landing pages have become hugely influential in lead generation over the last few years. Do not mistake their role however; a landing page isn’t your home page, it’s a dedicated ‘satellite’ site that has one prime objective – To redirect or lead potential customers / visitors to your website.

I’m confident you have, at some point in time, clicked a banner advertisement that has redirected you to a webpage displaying all the information you need, or has asked you to ‘sign-up’  for a free ebook. That page was a landing page. It displays important information and encourages users to perform an action, and in the process, their data is then collected.

Contact Forms

Adding a well-formulated contact form where necessary is a prudent exercise when it comes to lead generation. If a visitor has journeyed to your landing page, it’s obvious they display some level of interest in what you have to offer. This interest can be recorded via a contact form.

For example – a luxury car dealership offering test drives can ask those interested about the nature of their profession and their annual income. This will help define and qualify high-potential leads.

Call to Action

CTA buttons are a real ‘game-changer’ with regards to lead generation and conversions. Data harvesting call-to-action buttons have become an integral tool of on-site marketing campaigns. They are typically attention-grabbing buttons that offer a value proposition when clicked.

For example – you may have visited websites that have large actionable buttons saying ‘register now’, or ‘sign-up for a free demo.’ These are call-to-action buttons that prompt or direct an action from a user.

CTA’s have become increasingly popular because they do exactly as their name suggests.

This brings me to the second objective of this article, which is offering you a crucial exercise that will help to drastically improve the lead generation capabilities of your website. Please read on…

In order to perform this exercise, it’s important to be completely aware of what a CTA is supposed to do.

In other words, what is the purpose of a call to action button?

Simply stated, the purpose of a CTA is to generate leads by helping visitors achieve the objective of their visit. A CTA is supposed to explain the consequence of clicking the button that will lure visitors in. This is why it’s so important that CTA’s are highly relevant.

For example – what do you think would be a better hook for a potential subscriber? – “ click to learn more” or

“click to get a free demo.” The latter proposition is more appealing because it clearly defines the consequence / objective that the button will fulfil.

And this is the crux of the exercise. As straightforward as it may sound, it’s about making sure that all the CTA’s on your website are clearly telling visitors what they will receive when clicked.

Do not underestimate the simplicity of this practice; CTA’s are meant to nudge users to take action. Unfortunately, a user subconsciously decides against taking action if there’s ambiguity.

This exercise eliminates the cause of any hesitation that might prevent a user from taking an action. If performed diligently and proactively, this practice can start delivering results instantly.

Optimizing your website may seem simple to begin with, but it’s a deep and nebulous subject that requires up-to-date industry knowledge and expertise.

It is for this reason that most businesses choose to team-up with a website development company in London. Web agencies such as Web Choice are invaluable when it comes to getting ahead of the competition.

Web Choice has a team of highly experienced professionals that have the knowledge required to create, execute and maintain highly profitable websites. They are also a top SEO agency, delivering results-driven solutions tailored to meet the client’s every requirement.
