How To Find Work When You Are Studying

When looking for a job, students need to keep in mind several criteria that can make this process effective, relatively easy and not resource-intensive. The less time and nerves you spend looking for jobs, the more joyful your first work experience will be, and you will find exactly the position that was a priority.

Make a list of the most suitable areas and directions for you, according to your education or those in which you would like to try yourself. Studentship is the very time when you can try your hand not only in the field of your future profession, but also in related or radically different directions. After graduation, it will not be so easy to conduct such experiments, although it is quite possible.

Create a resume. Despite the obviousness of this criterion, I would still like to draw the attention of students, especially those who are looking for a robot for the first time, to the process of creating and sending a resume.

First, you should thoroughly write all the points in order to carefully outline your strengths. Try to focus on those skills that are most needed for the chosen job. If these vacancies or directions are different, then it is advisable to make a resume, respectively, with a bias towards the position for which you are applying.

Second, don’t just send your resume to a potential employer. Be proactive and write a cover letter. It will not look as dry and cold as the resume format and will allow you to tell more about your intention to work, for example, in this particular company or in this particular direction. Indicate in the letter what you would like to do, where you see your strengths, what ideas and skills you have. Remember, even if you have no work experience, your activities at the university, volunteer projects, special successes in educational or creative projects will reveal you in more detail as a candidate and will themselves speak for you about your responsibility and activity.

Be careful when submitting your resume. Even if you send an email to several positions, make sure that the bulk of the mailing is not visible. Hiding a copy, correctly specified company names and other little things. Accuracy and attentiveness in this process is also important, because it will form one of the first impressions of you. If after a week you do not receive an answer, do not hesitate to call back and clarify about your candidacy. After all, the letter could just get into spam or they simply forgot to answer you. Perseverance in moderation is an equally important point in the job search process.

Use international sites and resources to find a job, because this way you will accurately conduct this search in the most efficient and high-quality way. The advantage of using such sites when looking for work is that it is in your region / country that they have collected the maximum of suitable vacancies upon request. In one place you have access to a huge database of proposals and, thanks to convenient tools, all this is quite easy to use. Moreover, international aggregators can offer similar jobs in other countries, showing you a complete picture of demand. And it’s also a good way to conduct your own monitoring of how relevant your specialty or direction is and is in demand on a global scale.

For example, I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the three largest aggregators that collect vacancies from resources around the world.

Jooble is an aggregator of vacancies, which is included in the TOP-3 of the most visited employment sites and has been actively gaining popularity among Runet users over the past two years. By creating your account in Jooble, you can track your search history on the site, save suitable options, subscribe to mailings on demand, sort them by keywords, city, salary level. All this functionality of the site is absolutely free and convenient because information from many resources is collected in one place.

Glassdoor – The site provides a wide range of vacancies. Particularly convenient on this resource are formed company profiles, where you can get detailed information about the employer and his activities in general. The site is also useful because here you can see the level of salaries for the main positions.

Indeed is an aggregator that also collects most of the vacancies from various sites. Users note that it is convenient to read employee reviews about employing companies on the site, and especially the site is noted by applicants in the IT field.
