Earlier UPPSC has posted 1473 lecturer positions in Government Inter Colleges (GIC), including 991 male openings, and 482 female vacancies. The Selection Process

  • A preliminary exam will be conducted, followed by a test before the interview. Approximately two weeks prior to the test, the UPPSC Admit Card for the GIC Lecturer Exam 2021 will be accessible.
  • Aspirants who pass the Prelims examination will also be included for the Mains exam. You must complete out another application form for this candidate. On the basis of the preliminary exam, 13 times candidate would be called for the test. It indicates that about 6,266 candidates can take part in the test.

UPSSC GIC Prelims Exam Pattern

A preliminary examination will be called upon for candidates who have submitted the application form and pay as per schedule. The candidates will mostly be tested in two categories, General Studies and Foundation Themes, as selected for submission of the form.

In order to qualify as candidates for the main examination, marks must be ensured according to their category. If there are fewer than cut-off marks for any candidate then he/she will not take the test into consideration.

  • The duration of this test is 2 hours, excluding reporting time.
  • The Prelims test is divided into two sections. One is a facultative topic paper, while the other is a general study paper common to all candidates.
  • This examination contains 300 marks and a total of 120 questions will be asked. There are 2.50 marks in every question.

Exam Guidelines

  • The examination center must be reached well before the reporting time.
  • As indicated in the call letter, you carry all relevant documents.
  • Do not have a smartphone or any Bluetooth gadget or material for study.
  • Follow the surveillance instructions.
  • The designated date and time will not be amended and no request will be received from the commission.
  • Only Black Pen should contain the information in the OMR sheet.
  • If all items on the OMR sheet are carefully completed, the OMR sheeter will not be reviewed by such candidates if any entries are left blank or erroneously completed.
  • Do not use the blade or the whitener to delete the OMR sheet entries.
  • After the examination is done, transfer the OMR sheet to the surveillance device and keep the duplicate.
