Everyone who hasn’t been living under a rock the past few years has seen the insurgence of foldable screens in the smartphone market. Foldable screens have been something that people have had on their radars for a long time since there have been rumors of them in the early 2010s. In the last few years these phones have become a reality, and nowadays it seems that they’re the talk of the city. If you ever go down the street these days, you are bound to bump into someone who has a foldable screen smartphone in their pocket. Apart from the phones being flashy, there are many ways in which the manufacturers are trying to make use of that foldable mechanic with these phones.
The first thing the manufacturers were focused on was getting more screen space when you unfold your phone. Huawei did that, and so did Samsung with their take on the fold. There was even the Flex Pi which came with its own iteration of this, but it just fell flat because of the horrible hinge functionality. The Huawei Mate X and the Samsung Galaxy Fold did things better and people seemed to really enjoy these phones. The Galaxy Fold came out first, but it was marred with technical issues when the screen would often break because people kept peeling off a part of it since they thought it was a screen protector. They would also notice that a lot of dust would go into the hinge because it’s not perfectly sealed.
The Mate X didn’t do any better when we take a look at all its controversies and delays. Starting with the Google ban, Huawei had to create a completely new OS or to get rid of all the Google functionalities in their Mate X. Then came the delays, and the phone just didn’t come out for a long while. In fact, it’s still really difficult to get your hands on one of these phones. Not to mention that the soft screen seems like a nightmare to protect seeing as how it folds outward, exposing its sensitive face to outside forces. However, this does give people more space to play the best free sex games at a higher resolution.
After those phones came out, manufacturers started looking at other ways in which the foldable screen could completely change the game. They came up with a fantastic idea, or at least Motorola did with its new Razr device. Motorola sold Razr phones way back, but these had a keyboard on one half od the device and the screen on the other half. You could fold the device like a flip phone and people loved it. Fast forward to 2019 and the company delivered the new model: Razr 2019. This model had the entire face of the device be a foldable screen, which would fold in like a flip phone would and it caught the industry by storm with people absolutely loved the idea.
It might not give you more space to play your favorite best porn games, but it definitely gave a new take to the foldable screen smartphone market. Companies across the world saw this as a way to save space in your pocket and it would allow you to fit an entire device in there without any issues even if you had a smaller pocket. Female jean wearers in particular saw this as a huge step forward since the monoblock design would usually just protrude from their pockets and they wouldn’t be able to completely conceal their device in there. Samsung scrambled to create their own take on the genre and out came the Galaxy Z Flip which featured the same form factor, but better specs.
The device also featured a much more modern design that people loved with other Galaxy phones. It was elegant, slick, and definitely looked like a standard phone much more than the Motorola Razr which looked much more futuristic and gamer-like. The hinge on the Galaxy Z Flip was also pretty amazing as it introduced new features such as the ability to fold only halfway and stay that way which allowed for creative uses of the fold. It could allow you to do one thing on one half of your screen while playing games on the other half. Future iterations of the foldable screen smartphone model will only see more creative ways to utilize the fold for more screen space and so on.
