There are plenty of uses for an anagram solver. Plus, it’s just to have fun and find more than fun. For example, the phrase “debit card” is an anagram for “bad credit.” This is something you know now. Whatever the case, the Internet has a ton of anagram solvers for virtually any platform you own. Here are the best ones we can find.
Android anagram solver
Anagram Solver is an excellent app for such things. It is also available on iOS and is further down the list. This is a free tool with ad support. It boasts a library of 310,000 words with a clean, easy-to-use UI. In addition, it supports multi-word anagrams, various filters, blank characters for board games, and word definitions. There really isn’t much in it. The app is simple, it works well and it is easy to use.
Crossword Solver King
Crossword Solver King is an adequate anagram solver. Its primary function is to help crossword puzzles but it can also solve anagrams if needed. You can use filters to find specific words and even look up definitions so you can tell people that what you typed is actually a real word. The UI is quite simple and it won’t take long to learn how to use the app. It supports spaces for more words. The app is completely free or you can get the Pro version for 3.99.
Scrabble Expert
Scrabble Expert is an anagram solver that has a bunch of features including short sound, Q sound without U, vowel sound, blank tile support, offline support, and much more. It supports TWL / OWL, SOWPODS / CSW, ENABLE, YAWL and OSPD dictionaries. The premium version lets you search for words up to 15 characters long and removes ads. The UI looks a bit old, but it’s functional and easy enough to use.
Word breaker
Word Breaker is an old word game helpful, but it’s one of the best. It comes with three themes including a dark mode for night play. It then recommends words based on the words already on the game board This is especially great for word or scrabble with friends. Some other features include blank tile support, support for more than half a dozen languages and it can also track the remaining tiles in Scrabble and some other games. The Pro version is also relatively inexpensive. If you have it, it is also free on Google Play Pass.
WordFinder by YourDictionary
WordFinder is one of the less popular anagram solutions, but it’s still pretty good. It supports well over a dozen word games, including big games like Scrabble and Words with Friends. The app is quite easy to use. You simply type your letter and it finds the word for you. It supports blank tiles and the UI is simple enough. We’d love to see improved offline support and we’re not a fan of subscription costs. In addition, we want to use our own keyboard instead of one from the app. However, it works just fine if you don’t mind the ads.
IOS (iPhone and iPad) anagram solver
Anagram Solver is an app for iPhone and iPad. It boasts a library of over 280,000 words, multi-word anagrams, scrambles and blank characters for similar games, and a variety of filters to weed out words you don’t want. If you need one of these, there is also a crossword solver. The UI is fast and clean to the extent that it seems sterile, but it also helps the functionality of the app.
Website
Anagramsgame.com is one of the best websites for solving anagram. It supports blank tiles and you can search for words starting or ending with specific characters. The site is easy enough to use and it seems to be optimized for mobile as you can see by the screenshot below. It works with various dictionaries including TWL3, OSPD4, OSPD5, CSW15, SOWPODS, OWL2, TWL98, TWL06, ENABLE, and ENABLE2K. There are ads, but that’s not a bad thing at all and we haven’t seen any full-screen or video ads. This is a good surround option.
