Google is always driven with the motive to enhance its user experience. This is what Google did on June’23, 2021. It released its spam update. This update is focused on removing all the spam calls and emails from Google Apps completely. Now there were pros and cons of this update to businesses and SEOs. So if you use Google or Gmail, SEO Experts have explained all the details about Google’s new spam update.

What is Google’s new spam update?

Google’s Update always brings a piece of good news for its users. One such update was released by Google on June’23, 2021. Google from the platform of Twitter announced its one-day update run. Unlike Google’s other updates this update would run for one day and again after a few days at regular intervals to remove spam emails and calls on Google and its apps. These spam mails fill in your inboxes and are irritating. Now, these mails would filter out and only genuine emails will land in your inbox. Google has its clear definition of spam, any low-quality website, emails from unknown sources, target phishing scams, and other fake elements being circulated on Google. This update had its pros and cons.

Pros of Google’s new spam update:

  1. No more spam or junk would reach you.
  2. if your website ranking falls you can rectify the security issues of your website as this update would indicate that.
  3. No more phishing scams and fake websites to deal with.
  4. Mailbox would have only mails from genuine sources hence all the unwanted stuff is filtered out.
  5. You will get rid of the constant stream of annoying calls and emails. With enhanced security measures.

Cons of Google’s new spam update:

There was an unintended consequence of this update. Businesses and websites were deeply affected by this update. This update caused many “false positives’ ‘ preventing important emails from reaching business houses that rely on them. Many business houses and websites send group mails which were filtered as spam. These very useful mails affected these businesses. Certain form submissions, automated emails were filtered as spam.

Now Google intends to run this update again in the next coming week. Here is a way to save your website information from being filtered as spam:

  1. Make sure you send emails directly to the recipient rather than sending grouped automated mails.
  2. Check your spam folder and mark the emails that are important as “not spam”. This helps Google filter out these as genuine emails.
  3. Make sure your website is secure and is facing no security issues.
  4. Make sure that your website has high-quality stuff, and genuine information.

Google strives to enhance its service regularly hence it will run this update regularly. This update is run in the morning and concluded by the night. Google will again run this update next week and would clear the time for initiating the run and concluding the run to its users.
